RaviRaj: Was just going through the website .....really good work....sincere thanks to all those who had made this possible. Yogish am grateful to you....for your dedicated service here...
Kiran Kumar: Hi Yogish, thank you for a great work on the website.
Kiran Kumar: Really nice
Yogish: Let's start real work to improve govt schools very soon with our great team of teachers and volunteers
Nagesh TK: Yesterday I talked with my b e o about this group and thoughts, he felt happy
Girish Mudigere: As discussed with Mr Panchappa yesterday, I am planning to travel across Karnataka and India May onwards for about a year to connect Government Schools and interested persons around each School.
Girish Mudigere: Government provides Rice @ 1 Rupee/ KG
Can we try to purchase after talking to Government authorities and provide simply breakfast to few kids each school wherever possible through CSR Corporate Social Responsible teams
RaviRaj: Thought is really good.....we need to make our officers n ministers realize the need
Dhananjaya J: Impossible sir. Government is providing 4kg rice for each member of the family. Each kg of rice has accountability. Even family members cannot get extra  rice
Girish Mudigere: It appears focused discussion on one point is difficult for about few days on each point. Lets take responses by each member in group on top issues
Dhananjaya J: Same quality rice is between 20to 30 rupees in open market
Girish Mudigere: Lets talk to Government and make it possible for Schools
Dhananjaya J: Govt already burdened with the one rupee kg rice initiative, many have been criticizing it as it makes the people unproductive. Rice comes from central govt . Centre has to think of it..
Nagesh TK:ನನಗೆತಿಳಿದಿರುವಹಾಗೆನಮ್ಮಕುಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿಊಟಕ್ಕೆಸಮಸ್ಯೆಇಲ್ಲಆದರೆಮೂಲಭೂತಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳಕೊರತೆಇದೆ
Dhananjaya J: Centre has to think of whole nation n crores of students .
but if govt come forward they can find out students who are facing malnutrition , it could start breakfast system with limited number at first and it could allow donors to adopt schools to provide breakfast in severe malnutrition areas n students
Girish Mudigere: Above may take more time.If we purchase rice for School kids then state government central government may agree.
Satish Kadashettihalli: Central government is cutting down funds for midday meals. Even For ICDS programme of Anganavadi children
Satish Kadashettihalli: I don't know reason, It's the decision of Modi government which thing privatization is the solution for all government institutions bad performances
Panchappa: Mr Girish what we have discussed yesterday,  that was very important. We must travel all arround Karnataka first. Today I spoke with one govt., school teacher. He has lot of interest. Today one school fell down into our group's bucket.
Panchappa: Once for a day/week/month, we must bring one school into our bucket. Then we have chance to collect best of best or who have interest in this way of thinking. One school from Harihar and one school from Harapanahalli. So I got 3 schools today.
Sujatha Kulkarni: I think it will be good for companies to sponsor schools. It will remove burden on govt. So, Modi thought is not bad.
Satish Kadashettihalli: Companies can sponsor schools but they can't supervise schools, 80 % of the students of India still studying in government schools. It is duty of government to give good education to all. It can take the help of the companies,  not hand over the responsibility.
Girish Mudigere: We shall slowly take over responsibility ....start with few schools first
Panchappa: That is good idea Girish.
Satish Kadashettihalli: What type of responsibility sir
Girish Mudigere: Let's see which schools need breakfast and evening snacks ....
Dhananjaya J: Bhachalli doddi iruligara doddi kanakapura taluk
Panchappa: Yes, I will send some list.
Dyavanoor Manjunath:ನಮ್ಮದುದ್ಯಾವನೂರುಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನಎಂಬಸಂಸ್ಥೆಇದೆಇದರಿಂದಶಾಲಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಯಾವರೀತಿಸಹಾಯಹಾಗೂಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಮಾಡಬಹುದು
Yogish: Now we have 25 volunteers and 15 teachers  and are ready to develop our public school. List is ready in our web site. Please check and let me know if there is any error.
(Feb 21stNight Second Batch):
Yogish: Done, all the 400 points are now added in to website. I have reduced it to 340 by filtering the repeated one and some of the website updates posted by me.
Yogish: Moving forward please send compile all the points in XL spreadsheet so that we can avoid duplicate work to edit again in website. Please go to view all the 340 points. May be we can further reduce it to 300 or 100 action items once we review all the points.
Yogish: I mean I can directly import in just one click if it is in XL or CSV format
Yogish: One of the school is already providing breakfast to their students without govt help. So we can consult that school to know the implementation details. I think I need to learn a lot from this group and from group of teachers who are already doing very good work for their school.
Yogish: Our site is now submitted to google and Bing. Soon it will start indexing the pages and posts.
Girish Mudigere: Kiran avaru had already asked question about 6000 crores being reduced (if true) in mid day meal scheme
We could not discuss doing pause period
Girish Mudigere: If 6000 crores is reduced ....we will try following things:
Girish Mudigere: 1. We as team not interested in Modi or Siddaramaiah
We as team to find root causes and see it will not be further reduced
1662. Our team find out solutions to give best possible food to at least needy kids with available resources from both Governments
Today kindly focus on above and provide solutions
Yogish: 6000 cr for one state or for whole India ?
If it is reduced for entire India, the Karnataka's food grant will go down by 206 cr (6000/29 states) Just a rough estimate, I may be wrong
Girish Mudigere: Yogish are almost right.....let us use 1Re kg rice and other resources too from both governments
Girish Mudigere: We should try avoid drop outs due to food.
Our aim to provide good primary education and good health
Students should eat in schools ....finally
Yogish: Did anyone read voucher system in new education policy for quality education to poor children
Someone sent petition
Yogish: This is similar to gas subsidy directly go to consumers bank account.
May be this will go against the govt schools, but private schools will be encouraged to start and compete in villages to get the vouchers from each student. Monitoring 15 lakh schools across  by govt is tough job. Now the responsibility goes to hands of private schools and teachers. Private school improve the quality of education and will make sure that students will not dropout by paying extra attention. In theory it looks attractive, but what happens to govt schools ?.
This is just a petition submitted by some volunteers I guess
govt got a big success by directly transferring the gas subsidy in to consumer bank account. They succeeded opening crores of bank accounts in villages too for the purpose of transferring gas subsidy. So they may find it easy to transfer the education voucher too in to same account. .... Just my thinking
Eventually the govtmight ask private schools to adopt every govt schools to transfer the students vouchers. May be cutting down 6000 crores worth of food grant is an initial step.
Yogish: One of the advantage is that govt schools have existing land or playground or building. So private schools need not invest for land (Just adopt the school) , but has to improve the buildings, infrastructure, technology and hire more teachers and also continue the mid day meal by using the education vouchers passed by individual student. This may work out as long as everyone gets quality education with mid day meal ...etc and if govt allow teachers to continue as govt employees with all the existing benefits including retirement.
As per the petition: U.K., the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Colombia, New Zealand, Chile, Ireland, Sweden, USA etc have adopted Voucher System.
Yogish: Got it. So govt reduced the grant by 4000 cr in 2015-16 budget. Do they have plans to reduce it further in 2016-17 budget too ?
Girish Mudigere: Lets not get into news, budget ansutte.
Please suggest other ideas to provide breakfast and evening snacks
Yogish: I believe it cost Rs 8 for ISKON to prepare mid day meal. They get subsidy of Rs 5 from govt. ISKON is contributing the remaining Rs 3 by collecting the money from donors. Now they feed 1.4 million kids across India - as per Wikipedia
Girish Mudigere: Let us not take money from any individuals also NGOs money or materials beda
Yogish: Someone has to come forward to feed the kids in case if govt reduce the budget
Girish Mudigere: Mid day meals currently going good it appears. Lets definitely plan if necessary in future.
Currently breakfast and snacks lets plan in few schools
Girish Mudigere: Team....Kindly provide action points for your solutions and suggest volunteers to implement in any one school of your choice.
Girish Mudigere: Chandrakant sir is ready to train teachers.
Ramya is ready to take Skype classes.
Chaya, Usha and many others are ready to volunteer
Please suggest schools
Raju Aralimarad: It's better to implement where there is more volunteers,,since it is first time from develop schools team...
Akhila Vidyasandra: I think since  Iscon no such other organisations are already cooking  midday meals which is mainly rice, we should not go for the same item.
Raju Aralimarad: When we will get success in first school by implementing these things...... Then we can divert to others schools slowly and smoothly na? Likely to each and every corner of Karnataka?
Yogish: If you can provide address of each volunteer I can map the location and we can start from there
Akhila Vidyasandra: To overcome malnutrition problem, we need to talk to panchayaths to provide BANANA , EGGS & MILK which are produced locally and Panchayaths can talk to milk federation to provide milk, likewise "baalekaayi  mandi " for  banana. .. Panchayaths still have time to write /submit their budgets. This can be added to the same.
So, every one in the team approach their panchayaths and convince it to take immediate step to call for the meeting n decide.
Girish Mudigere: Good idea.....needs dedicated follow up
Punchayath may try to drive away our volunteers
Feb 22ndPoints:
Akhila Vidyasandra: I have spoken to our panchayath, its president and SDMC yesterday. They are going to have a meeting onthis Fridayto discuss on this.
But whoever is going to speak should know about panchayath and its scope n limitations. Any members as volunteers are welcome, I'll be very happy
Akhila Vidyasandra: You can't call them unless you have good rapport with them. You better go in a team if possible with a good presentation and convenience them.
Akhila Vidyasandra: Can we seek the help of doctors in our group to prepare a ppt of about 10-15 slides on malnutrition and how to overcome it with the help of locally available food products
Like  corns,ಸೊಪ್ಪು,ತರಕಾರಿ,ಮೊಟ್ಟೆ,ಮೀನು,ಹಾಲು. ..
Ppt in Kannada. With some statistics too please
Akhila Vidyasandra: More over let the children, parents, SDMC , nn  panchayath decide what do they want to eat.
Akhila Vidyasandra: I'm for eggs, banana and  milk. its easy to distribute,
Yogish: This is a great start and great plan if punchayath agrees
Akhila Vidyasandra: I am talking about other members to approach the  panchayaths, if they are equipped with the above mentioned things that it will be convenient
Ittigi Harish Kumar: Can I add one of my close and childhood friend
He is PSI In Bellary District. KUDLIGI taluk
We can take the help and suggestion from this person also ok
Akhila Vidyasandra: Any one who is concerned about public education development is welcome to this group.
Ittigi Harish Kumar: Heartly WelCome Mahanthesh
RaviRaj: Akhila n all in Hethenahalli government  school Tumkur taluk n district ....they are already distributing banana...ghee with meal everyday ..thanks to MLA Suresh gowda....who has adopted the school our effort is to extend this facility to all kids in all schools
Akhila Vidyasandra: Sira BEO Mr. Rajkumar is a very good officer. Please approach him, he is ready to take any good, innovative activities in schools.
Panchappa: One of my brothers-in-law is working as a village accountent. He has lot of interest in developing publiAddAddAddAddAdd
