Guru Poornima: We have not yet chosen the schools right? Manoj must have done this I guess iit
Next step would be our simultaneous approach to the schools ..
Yogish: Let’s make a digital pamphlet related to tree planting in schools. We can post that one in Facebook so that interested schools can come forward
What is the deadline to forest dept to submit number of saplings requirements and varieties. Do we have any criteria to select varieties. I think it’s better to plant local, sustainable or less maintenance and/or fruit trees.
Guru Poornima: That has to be discussed in person with concerned authority…. And before that we shall choose the school and keep prepared with area to be covered in respective schools…. And also the mode if supplying to the respective schools
This website is too good. You draw perfect geometric shapes, edit and lot of useful tools including latex. With latex you can add and edit any complicated math expressions too. I am using this site from past 2 days to generate required shapes for SSLC math formulas. My MacBook too helped to write math equations and paste in to website.
Now all the SSLC chapters math formulas are done except statistics and probability. Please provide your feedback and find out the mistakes or typo if any by visiting the link http://developschools.org/resource-center/for-teachers/sslc-math-formulas-english

Gururaj Paramesha: sir today i was discussing one thing with 100 teachers how we can more attractive towards government schools. appoint two teachers in all the schools, one English Teacher another Computer Science Teacher, along with Kannada let them learn English and Computers
Linnet D Silva: Teachers commitment is to be boasted. The schools where I am involved teachers lack this. My experience in Dharwad. : 1st 7th there are only 3 teachers that too half hearted. The school system take us for granted. Inspite of that I am still interested that children do not miss their childhood. So rte is so important. : Some times I feel some strict rules implementation is also needed. If they are not doing they should be shown the way out.
Lokesh Alambuda: ಪ್ರತಿ ತರಗತಿಗೊಂದರಂತೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿರಬೇಕು
Sri Harsha: Sir..I agree with linnet mam..we do need to think how can we motivate teachers Except few I have never felt throughout my education years that teachers actually want to teach. Not blaming any teachers as such.but we need a sense of belonging from teachers that what they are doing has a huge impact on the up cling generation and society. I have not seen this sense of belonging in them..
Manoj Scientist: Should create LIFE for students that respective teachers
Girish Mudigere: Team Kindly focus on solutions
Guru Poornima: I had worked in a private organization, as an admin where I could not tolerate such exploitation and given up the job. Ultimately children are victims. Which affects their entire life
Linnet D Silva: I have also done a new initiative this summer for government school children to come together for reading and also indoor games.
Manoj Scientist: I give a.imp solution notice that.to have one teacher of respective schools in which throughout in our improvement the have complete contact.with us ., And its resposibility of respective voluenteers to give all our intensions completely
Anantha Padmanabha: For every year increment in salary….should conduct quality test
Gururaj Paramesha: i am organising science fest
Yogish: We can’t improve the school admission or stop the school drop out by adding milk or egg in to mid day meal. Govt is totally wrong or may be looking for vote bank. Govt schools should start English medium classes to survive and also provide the basic infrastructure like clean drinking water, toilets and also computers with innovative methods to teach to our students.
Girish Mudigere: Let Government try its methods …..lets try above and fill gaps
Yogish: Yes I agree. I am not against the govt, but I feel the same money can be utilized to improve the admissions by innovative way.
I think we need to do a survey with middle class family with a question ‘why do want to send your children to private school’?. Every parent will give sane answer.
Girish Mudigere: Lets go forward filling the gaps…..sure government schools will become predominant
Lokesh Sir methods for improvement of admissions …..Jairam Satish sirs methods for avoiding drop outs are best foundation’s to start. Lets try to copy
Linnet D Silva: We have every right to demand quality in education. And a duty to do our part to fill The gap. Giving good nourishing food also is poor childrens right. I saw abroad they have free luxurious food. Government should invest on it’s citizens they too are nation’s resources.
Yogish: I agree that good food and clean drinking water is everyone’s right, but this alone will not improve the school admissions. If you ask me my top priority for govt schools to improve admission is below because govt is taking care of children nourishment. I think we don’t have to fill the gap in that area. Let’s fill the gap by improving other facilities.
Start English medium which is possible I guess now through SDMC( someone suggested that SDMC should submit the requirements with proper report) Or at least spoken English after school hours. This is MUST. We should not replace kannada. But more focus on English speaking and teaching English that appear in science and math textbooks. At the end every student from village school should equally compete with the Bangalore school students who study in English medium private school
Yes everyone agree that kannada must be first language, but we need to give more focus for English in schools in villages. Today India is number 1 in software mainly because of our English knowledge. So we can’t tell our village students that English is only for Bangaloreans or for the kids who study in private schools.
HM Sunitha: Kannada must be the first language second language English as third language not needed HINDI IS NOT THE NATIONAL LANGUAGE. THIS will lower the load on students. Students can concentrate on subjects
Guru Poornima: Govt school infrastructure is totally under the control of Govt…which is an open secret …due to corruption..lack of quality infrastructure: Mainly we have to educate the parents and conduct awareness programs…Specially in downtrodden places after making a proper survey
Girish Mudigere: Can anyone prepare top 10 items to work on priority to improve Government schools?
1. Introduce quality Kannada and Quality English to Improve admission,
2. Reduce dropouts,
3. Give huge respect to kids…..start from anganavadis
4. Improve Infrastructure
5. Increase Teachers
6. Neat clean cloths….etc?
Honestly we have only top two priority items
1. Improve admissions
2. Reduce Dropouts
All other points are sub categories of above two
Guru Poornima: Guru Poornima: Above mentioned two points are inter linked..,and two faces of a same coin. Yogish I agree but equal importance must be given to all the subjects…parallely according to the ground reality and parent s psychology we will have to attract for admission
Jayalaxmi Gowda: In all reality and practicality.. Have a basic question… How many of us in the groups are sending our own kids to govt school in Karnataka
Geetha: Teachers knowledge, towards teaching as well as subject ,and methods of teaching should be updated, Training or workshops,by resource persons other in proper way
Guru Poornima: Many dedicated teachers are there, and talented too,we must make best use of their knowledge and exposure
Yogish: Yes, apart from English, parents mainly look for performance of the schools. I mean exam results. Everyone wanted to go to school where exam results are 100%
Geetha: Dept asking results 100%,but many of them not know to write alphabets, basics like addition multiplication, this is challenging aspect to teachers to get result from such situation,so concentrating on quantity, not quality.. By end of the day I fed up with these all, morning again get up with more interest like rising of sun
Guru Poornima: Strong foundation of primary Education is much required for this Geetha. We have to give knowledge based education. Specially primary education. For ex, ಕಾಗುಣಿತ is not at all taught in many schools
Renni D’souza added MUST Sir Ramesh Nayak
Girish Mudigere: Welcome Ramesh Nayak Sir HM keddlike primary. School. Thank you Renny sir
Renni D’souza: RAMESH. NAYAK IS HM OF KEDDLIKE PRIMARY SCHOOL BANTWAL HE VERY CREATIVE AND HIS SCHOOL REALLY MODEL TO GOVERNMENT PRIMARY. SCHOOL I WIL SHARE MORE LATER

Girish Mudigere: We need guidance from Ramesh Nayak Sir
Yogish: Yes, there are resources/solutions in govt school itself. Ramesh Nayak Sir utilized these with the help of teachers and students. . We have to get guidance from Ramesh Sir and copy the same use model in to remaining schools wherever it is possible.. Great work
