Kindly overlook Kannada or English words whichever you cannot understand.
Our Focus is to improve Government Anganavadis and Schools
Yogish: Water crisis in India and in some part of Karnataka is alarming. So much of water goes to see during rainy season. Govt gave permissions to so many buildings and did not encourage to plant trees. Most of the trees were cut down while developing highways and while constructing multi story buildings without planting new trees. In Mangalore the tap water is given twice a week. Very alarming situation. Many Bollywood stars going out of India for vacation. Reason is India is very hot. I encourage and give full support planting trees during this monsoon season instead of watching Bollywood movies.
Let’s conserve water and plant more and more trees. Yes we should bring up our tree counts to at least to a global average of 422 soon.
Girish Mudigere: As discussed earlier…..we promote above extensively in Government Schools of such affected areas.
Also, bring action plans and implementations in such areas on priority
Example …North Karnataka …plant more trees and safeguard
Mangaluru : Storing rain water etc may be more adequate
Yogish: Now east west line of Namma metro is opened. You can travel biappanahli to Mysore road in just 30 mins by paying 40 rupees. Little expensive, but you can avoid crowded traffic and also helping to clean air. Cheaper and faster than commuting in auto or using your own cars. Please encourage everyone to use public transportation as much as possible.
Girish Mudigere: We should take up above in school colleges to come out with practical ideas to use metro appropriately

Girish Mudigere: Good information …SSLC results ….hope our society will reduce number of loss of life of students when they fail
We should inform students whether pass or fail is not end of life
How to motivate them?
Kalgudi Naveen:
Gururaj Paramesha: Pressure is frm parents n peers
Girish Mudigere: Srinagesh Sir….high Regards….lets join hands with you
Kindly guide us. Naveen sir…can we engage few NGOs and take SriNagesh Sir classes for above cause?
Thank you for such a useful information
Gururaj Paramesha: Every where Nagesh sir can’t go so lets Nagesh sir train few volunteers so they can go n talk. We have to think practically
Lets think in terms practical approach. Train volunteers. Based on the divisions
Girish Mudigere: Lets list names. Kindly suggest names in each division
If members are not available in each division ….lets list known NGOs in each division and spread SriNagesh Sirs ideas through his books etc
By above method we may achieve more volunteers if not now…..may be later
Posting videos, audios through Facebook etc on above also may help
Team….please suggest practical ideas. Lets try all possible methods by our team. NGOs may help us for van etc. Guru sir….can we utilize scouts and guides in this situation
Gururaj Paramesha: Again sir technology alone cant solve the problem to improve the government schools infrastructure we need volunteers who can go meet the school authorities physicallyOur internet penetration is not good in govt schools. Solution is to setup mobile counselling sessions
Where our van goes and provide sessions
Jayalaxmi Gowda: However, this is my suggestion. All parents and teachers to be invited to school one or two days before the results are announced and give counseling to all by inspiring teachers such as SriNagesh Sir
We need to take action before the fact to avoid mishaps. We need to let kids and parents know that it is not the end of all. Parents should stop pressurizing kids. So it should stop at the parents level
Kalgudi Naveen: Inviting parents to school before the results and talking to them is a good idea.
Actually we should have constant interaction with the parents. That will solve many problems.
Yes P-T Meetings are held periodically. But, issues such as this seldom comes up!
Jayalaxmi Gowda: Naveen avare I meant at PTM the parents and teacher discuss about the progress and I would also identify the strengths and weakness of each kids along with a parent. Their behavioral at home and school should be able to identify
Teachers should say sown thing like the kid is great at particular quality however, he needs to improve upon so and so and as parents what their role would be
Kollegala Sharma: Good idea to have counseling before the results. Let us see if we can have this in HDKote.
Just a curiosity. Is there any statistics on result related suicides in Urban and Rural schools?
Chaya Chandra Acharya: I missed the good discussion. I do not think govt school children think abt suicide if they fail. Private school may be . am I right
Kollegala Sharma: True. Rural students are gutsy. Have low ambitions. Our effort has to be to retain the first and raise the level of the latter.
Srinagesh: In Udupi and surrounding areas many students in government high schools are very keen to perform well and a good number of them work in fields or elsewhere to help family income. In Hyderabad Karnataka area many in. Govt schools do want to study but are. Low in confidence. Mathematics English and social studies in that order are subjects students fear.
Shifting focus from exxam oriented studies to learning, from marks card to skill acquisition and goal development are three areas that need attention. For spreading the. Message we can use several articles appearing in magazines and newspaper written by many including me. Both for students. And students.
Education officers don’t care.Just as illustration I cite one instance.. My wife working as teacher in lower. Primary school motivated locals to contribute and build additional rooms as childre had to go elsewhere to study fifth onwards. After the building was ready locals asked upgradation of school to higher primary school. Andd BEO took my wife to task for getting extra rooms.
Gopala Rao: EO’s take care but dept asking many information, they are busy in that
Chaya Chandra Acharya: As a teacher from past four years pls try to convince the govt to design separate curriculum based on IQ level like USA. Once upon a time it was practiced in India. My mother was promoted from 4 th to 5th in one year. Because in parikrma school children r taught talk in English and maths for daily life and other skills , by 10th std they r capable of working in mall and as courier agent and shift their parents from slum by 20 years. Who r good in studies perdue their career in diploma. I feel 3 subjects more than enough. Certain things in our life we have to accept and move
Kollegala Sharma: At SVYM, Praveen is trying his best in this. There are dedicated teachers who want to bring in the change. What they need is motivational support.Kollegala Sharma: SVYM (Praveen and a group of teachers) is planning to adapt a different pedagogy and fit it to current curriculum. For the beginning a few topics in 8th standard will be tried in select schools and then if found ok will be expanded. Focus is on fun and innate abilities of students.
Chaya Chandra Acharya: S sir, dedicated teachers r required now.
Srinagesh: Chaya our experience with the government is they don’t change. Vested interests operate.
Kollegala Sharma: Government doesn’t change. But teachers do and can. A school gets its identity by its students and teachers, not whether it is govt or private. A schools strength are its teachers.

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Why do not we try to teach teachers spoken English so that they feel happy and transform the same to children. No hard feelings.
Girish Mudigere: First task…..though our school buildings are small….we should beautify them and make v v attractive. Lets start with Anganavadis and primary schools. Kids should appear best of best in dresscode and speak clearly. Lets start from bottom most
Chaya Chandra Acharya: Girishji u r dream is too big. I took 10 days to pronounce my name is sheshamma
Jayalaxmi Gowda: Kids work maadodhu after school should not be taken negatively instead make it more accomplishing to the kids.
BS Shashikumar: Present cce system is very good method to understand science very easy.. But the problem is not all govt. schools have good infrastructure.
Chaya Chandra Acharya: Jaya madam, it is true. Our govt children wants to learn and lead life like us. Papa no suitable environment. But keep trying helps. Little syllabus, enjoy the learning, little self image enough
S sir. Actually teacher should do little little work in right direction enough. I tried once teaching a child to speak in English , teacher felt bad, but later on she started learning, so it works
Kollegala Sharma: Yes. Teachers should believe that it is possible.
I have heard many teachers complain of CCE. But CCE is a good tool to link school learning with the kids environment. A little motivation from teachers side is needed. My experience with children is also the same.
Jayalaxmi Gowda: All they needed is practical explanation. Some kids need more time understanding and some less.
Kollegala Sharma: I would even go further. If there is a singer give poems on science to sing for the class. The child starts loving science. In one class, I asked a student, slow by teachers standards but skilldd in drawing, to help me in the class by drawing pictures on board. For the next two days he was a VIP and he started participating discussions.
Akhila Vidyasandra added +91 98800 63009 This is shreelakshmi ji, working with government school children since decade now. As I mentioned earlier she is the one working along with the home makers. Through Minchu IDEAS
Akhila Vidyasandra: There is a good news for Nagesh, border area schools are getting more facilities from government organs.
Yogish: Recently 5 more schools are registered. Raghavendra, Vasanth Kumar, Rahim Khan, Giridhar and Thandavamurthy (already in the group) . Some of them are asked notebooks and water filter. Did we end the enrollment for water filter and notebooks?
Nagesh TK: My school already register
5/3/16, 12:02 – MUST MCE Yogish: I may not read all the text messages since there are too many messages to read. Please send me the text directly to me if you are looking for my attention or wanted to add your schools or volunteers or want me to upload your material. You can send me email too at email@example.com

99642 98845: Shalege banni shanivaara, kaliyalu needi sahakara is a beautiful program of desert to improve the government schools with talented and interested persons and old students to give their physical, intellectual and financial support to government schools children.
Ganesh Bhat: Good discussion …..ongoing….action and reality
Yogish: Govt high school, somayajalahalli, srinivasapura taluk, kolar district 563138, strength 400 , need water filter, notebooks
Ramya: I think there should be a single control system in the country with regard to education system. First thing policy should be uniform All rich will afford for rich standardised school, middle class send their kids to their affordability. And poor to the Govt school with no option. This same standard follows generation to generation. So, according to me, a single standard and control should be followed. School selection should be based on the area they are residing.
Girish Mudigere: Good points Ramya Ji.. Similar to USA …..Excellent system
