Linnet D Silva: Competent person should assume government job whether one comes from private school or government school. At present people get such post depending upon how much bribe one is able to pay. Even for a transfer of a post bribe is there. Of course there are exceptions.

Whatever, quality education should be available both in government or private school.

Linnet D Silva: Again disagree. All should have freedom to send their children to whatever school they prefer. But education should be same or private can offer special education for differently abĺed children.Even differently talented children can have special schools.

Guru Poornima: But y strength is deteriorated in Govt schools?Y are they closing Govt schools?How many state Govt officials are sending their wards to Govt schools?

Linnet D Silva: We are lethargic and don’t demand it. Unless it is demanded it will not automatically come. Private schools demand is that the parents give fat amount. So they have a say. Here people’s participation is the only demand.

Guru Poornima: Freedom is been misused and misinterpreted by all of us

Linnet D Silva: As there are private bus and government bus services schools can also be there. Government has a duty to offer even to interior place even at a loss such service we can’t demand from a private institutions.

Guru Poornima: I strongly oppose language barrier, each and every language and subject are equally important for any educational organization to teach and learn, every regional language has its importance in their own region.

I’m Saif Sarwari. Passionate about teaching and training and trying to ‘dent the world of education’. I believe that most beautiful people are not ‘packaged’ beautifully! Yes, there is so much hidden potential that goes waste if not nurtured. So, I’ve taken it up as my mission to ‘Eliminate Needless Mental Handicaps’ of the people.

I work in the area of Soft Skills Development, Motivation, Accelerated Learning Techniques, and Speed Mathematics.

I would like to avail this opportunity to mention the name of Mrs. Poornima Gurudutt (Poornima Ji for me) who has time and again guided me and motivated me to focus on Educational Reforms. It would be utterly ungrateful not to thank her here : Once again, Poornima Ji, you have brought me to a treasure trove of talents. I’m simply awestruck!

Girish Mudigere: I got a idea….to improve government schools…. I will share here : In few minutes….i will submit…..you all know that idea……it is mainly implementation….. Still i submit.Thank you….sure you all will laugh..Ours is Non Money Material organization……

Plan is …….looking at our society. We see morally rich people around us, I am ready to beg door to door….shop to shop nearby every government school. Not for money or material to our NMMO…Rather deliver something directly to school. Example: Jain community is popular in installing water filters….I beg them for every school, Few hundred volunteers work similar with above concept can fulfil needs of every school not only by material but also improve morality of concerned people. Let me wait for few laughing too sir…..but Naveed sir…initial positive response from you matters a lot

Kollegala Sharma: What Girish says is practicable. There are many givers giving to schools different things. Sometimes they do it even when there is no need. There are also those who are donating to others things needed by schools. All we have to do is persuade these people to give to schools which are in need. This aggregation will help reaching more schools and without involving financials.

Guru Poornima: These are all already in our objectives… Except last part bit varies!! Morally rich people?

Kollegala Sharma: Morally rich can serve as volunteers. Collect from rich and pass to the needy.

Guru Poornima: Morality of hundreds of people….intentions ? Motivation? Or making decisions??? : Ultimately …morality is responsible thinking

Girish Mudigere: I will start with my nearest government school….whenever I have time take their needs list…..then I go shop to shop, office to office, nearby that school and request them to help school directly

Guru Poornima: With volunteers of course

Girish Mudigere: Even if it may be small as a electric bulb I will prepare elaborate list and ask donors to give and request electrician to fix the bulb….example. Volunteers if join…..bonus for sure to our government schools improvement project.100 volunteers can change Karnataka

Guru Poornima: If we are practical with our ideas

Kollegala Sharma: Girish. That is great! It will help this year’s needs.

For the future, Develop Schools can get a ‘intent of charity’ letter from prospective donors. Donors can indicate either the amount or the kind (say notebooks) that they intend to give. Another list of cost or kind needs of schools can be prepared. Matching is done by DS. This can be planned for next year so that a large impact can be made.

A bulb, ten pencils, two notebooks… not so rich can also contribute this way. We had used this model during a relief operation increasing the effectiveness of philanthropism.

Raghunandan: But I have a strange question why are we looking for donors. Can’t u make people residing in america sponsor for all this. There is lot of misuse of money otherwise enough donors are there in india. Also lot of people are working on this in reality you should look at consolidation and working together. Ground reality may be totally different from what u r thinking.Problems also may be totally different at the ground level. My suggestion and thoughts. Sorry I have made any wrong statements or hurt anyone in this process.

Kollegala Sharma: Consolidation is what is being suggested here. Only that tech will help.

Raghunandan: Sir I am happy for it. As I travel a lot in villages my observations are quite different and also work with various NGO’s and philanthropic institutions I see challenges little different so shared so that it will help to move faster and not repeat few things. I am also part of this cause. So concern and worry is making me to express this.

Girish Mudigere: Raghu sir….appreciate your thoughts, I personally is a poor person Raghu Sir…..I have few crores……needed for my Family…… And my target is not limited to 125000 schools

Raghunandan: Sir my humble request I don’t know much about you. I am very happy with the intention and efforts. Please take a tour and then if u get on with this project full-fledged it will be nice. As I love my country I don’t think its so bad in reality. And there are huge efforts already on so somewhere consolidation is the way to work.

And don’t read me wrong. Even though we want to do plenty challenges are also plenty in reality. So its only my thought and love for the country is making type these words. Please forgive me if I am wrong anywhere. My Intention has no bad thoughts nor negativity. Wishing this mission a very great success and will surely be part of it till it reaches the goal as a sevak.

Saif Sarwari: Mr. Girish, I also appreciate your zeal and down to earth approach. I just want to add another dimension to it. What if we could impart TRAINING IN LIFE SKILLS to the students of Government Schools (who are presumably from poor families and hence far away from such Employable Skills).What I mean to say is, ‘You can give a man a fish and feed him for a day BUT IF YOU TEACH HIM HOW TO FISH, YOU FEED HIM FOR A LIFETIME!’

Guru Poornima: Saif, more than training the students we should educate and motivate the parents and build awareness I personally

Saif Sarwari: My question here to all of you is….. IS THE CLASSROOM MORE IMPORTANT OR THE CLASS?

Guru Poornima: Classroom and surrounding as well

Saif Sarwari: I wholeheartedly agree with you Poornima Ji. It has always been a TWO PRONGED NEED…. The students and their parents both need to be trained and motivated.

Guru Poornima: Then comes the academics

Saif Sarwari: I’m not sure how I will be received but nonetheless I say…

Guru Poornima: Absolutely its very important and required..appreciate ur views

Saif Sarwari: I see International Schools extolling their grand infrastructures and plethora of amenities thereby demanding huge amount of money from parents AND STILL PRODUCING AVERAGE STUDENTS.

On the other hand, great people like APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Ambedkar, and many others were not fortunate enough to enjoy the bounties of their schools still CAME OUT AS WORLD LEADERS!What does this indicate?

RaviRaj: Teachers are important rather than buildings

Saif Sarwari: I guess it indicates that the CLASSROOM may have torn and tattered surroundings but the CLASS (the brains of the students) must be decked with the skills with skills).

RaviRaj: An excellent teacher makes use of resources around her to teach

Saif Sarwari: I don’t mean to devalue the importance of material amenities but I think the stress must be on WHAT COUNTS IN THE LONG RUN?I agree with both of you Hon’ble Poornima Ji and Ravi Ji.
