Devaraj: Respected volunteers, working as teacher in bagepalli taluk, chikkaballapur district, in rural & remote area. Many are doing good work to improve bangalore govt schools. My humble request to all volunteers who r working 2 improve govt schools is, please give due attention to rural, remote & backward schools also….! I know that many of u r working cities! So u can’t spend ur time for rural areas….! Atleast inspire donors to improve rural area schools….! In this rural area v r not finding such donors! I hope & wish u’ll try 2 improve rural area schools too…!
Devaraj: Sorry for some mistakes in my previous 2 msgs….!
GI RaviRaj: Prajavani, yesterday’s
Girish Mudigere: Excellent Raviraj Sir.Thanks Panchappa sir and Naveen Sir.Devraj sir….i respond
Devaraj: Ok thank you Girish sir….!🙏👍.Hemant Sir….mainly we support Government schools, corporation schools bbmp and similar schools called as public schools outside india
Nagamma madam mr nagesh Mr Devaraj are from kolar area…….probably you are interested….. Do Malur is specifically near kolar ….please inform
Devaraj sir please contact all offices through parents or volunteers…..in your taluk and district…….please send updates if possible.Lets go step by step. There is long way.Short ways may give temporary results……but we coming to your place and working do not yield appropriate results…..at least i cant come in next two months
Girish Mudigere: Every minute we try to improve government schools……i went to murugeshpalya school and high school today……many local persons appreciated and willing to support our concept
Vimal K Nelyadi: ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿ. .
Girish Mudigere: Shortly we conduct kabaddi tournament in nearby high school
We help schools directly if possible….. If we fail……we accept it and change way we support.
Hemanth Sharma: Girish sir is of the opinion that all the problem have one solution volunteering, arrange them, for first standard fifth pass will do just convince people to come forward to help this cause and also help themselves I believe teacher problem can be solved with this. Am I right Girish sir?
Girish Mudigere: Excellent discussions….really appreciate
Girish Mudigere: Hemanth Sir…..volunteering is one way to find resources…….we need volunteers to get teaching volunteers, cleaning volunteers, beautifying volunteers……..identify donors, develop schools like international schools. We classify two type of volunteers….. Core volunteers and delivery volunteers
Devaraj: Actual problem in rural area is poverty and no service mind….! In rural areas if they want to help govt schools means they think about political benefit….! Unfortunately there is no political benefit from govt school children & from govt schools….! So i am asking you to help who have service mind and who have no selfishness in helping….!
Nagesh TK: Really I like this concept, but we must motivate all public
Girish Mudigere: Five core volunteers to one area of schools with one active most is adequate for one or more schools
Devaraj sir…..can you give contacts of five old students?
Devaraj: Yes sir i can give….! But all are poor and nobody is interested to help….!
Girish Mudigere: Let us try different methods…first easiest i try. Please give sir…..in next two days
Devaraj: Ok sir I’ll give you tomorrow….!
Girish Mudigere: Excellent sir.Lets try all possible methods
Guru Poornima: 👍 😊
Girish Mudigere: If one method doesn’t work lets try another
Devaraj: 1 year back I conducted old students function by inviting them in the name of “COME, LET’S DEVELOP OUR VILLAGE SCHOOL” in that function many gave the assurance of donating computer, desks, bags…etc. But till now nobody has donated anything though i ask many times….! So now I’ve stopped asking….! This is the position of rural area schools & people….!
Girish Mudigere: How many attended sir.Do my u have contact numbersDo you u have their contact numbers
MUST Devaraj: More than 50 members had attended sir. I know their names. But I’ve lost their contacts. If you want, I’ll give you tomorrow….!
Girish Mudigere: Excellent sir.Let’s try to form Facebook and whatsapp group too
Devaraj: K sir.
Guru Poornima: Try to contact thru FB sir
Nagaraj Puttur: 🙂
Devaraj: Only few old students i mean just 10 to 15 have secured job sir. Remaining are in village only….! That employees also not showing interest….!
Girish Mudigere: Try to give all 50 numbers…..i will find five like you
Devaraj: K sir.
Girish Mudigere: 😊👍🙏
Dr Sandeep Nayak: 👍🏽
Girish Mudigere: I went to Murugeshpalya school twice,Also highschool twice.Next i went to Police Station met lady officer in front desk Ms Biji. Also…i went to traffic police station.Could not get main inspectors in both. But both constables listened and whole heartily welcomed and assured to support
Next i went to physically challenged school. None was there.May be sunday being holiday.Later i went to daily fresh safal big veggie shop.Met managers vinay and rajesh. They were positive helping schools.
Next i went to 13 year old big bakery met manager, introduced concept and was positive
Next BWSSB office…..none were available in office….two local persons were charging their cell phones
Next went to people flooded park….but people were busy in their activities
Came home and discussed with Vimochana,Over phone…..they gave good suggestions for kaggadasapura shortage of teachers issue and acute water shortage issue.Vimochana assured to help me in solving both
Went to Tamil school collected their 12 requirements
Though teachers were not available…. Teacher had asked me to collect above letter from adjacent home
In another school….SDMC Head and local person as well kind of President to school was preparing to receive two more teachers along with 8 available teachers!!!.He was getting ready to start 8th grade. They need 10 more slates for anganavadi kids
All in all i am fighting with air!!!!
But i am optimistic
Hemanth Sharma: 👍
Ravindra Prakasb: From my experience, I say that volunteering is good, but is not a solution. It would be better to work with local bodies like GPs, sdmcs and local civic bodies such as youth groups, mahila Mandala children clubs etc. Giving them training, building common shared vision would mobilize community to support schools in a sustainable manner.
Dr Sandeep Nayak: 👍🏽 This is sustainable
Girish Mudigere: My point was…..we need five volunteers to identify all above
Hemanth Sir…..volunteering is one way to find resources…….we need volunteers to get teaching volunteers, cleaning volunteers, beautifying volunteers……..identify donors, develop schools like international schools
We classify two type of volunteers….. Core volunteers and delivery volunteers. We need core voounteers first.Delivery happens soon after…..which needs few years ti bring to international standards……than maintenance for centuries
Dr Sandeep Nayak: Ravindraprakash as a point.
Girish Mudigere: Now connectivity between above groups needs to be healthy.volunteering is to work with local bodies like GPs, sdmcs and local civic bodies such as youth groups, mahila Mandala children clubs etc. Giving them training, building common shared vision would mobilize community to support schools in a sustainable manner.
Girish Mudigere: Devaraj: 1 year back I conducted old students function by inviting them in the name of “COME, LET’S DEVELOP OUR VILLAGE SCHOOL” in that function many gave the assurance of donating computer, desks, bags…etc. But till now nobody has donated anything though i ask many times….! So now I’ve stopped asking….! This is the position of rural area schools & people….!
Girish Mudigere: Ravindraprakash sir…… What is your opinion for above?……group of core volunteers would be better if one person fails..others should pick it
Rakesh Gowda: Yeah i agree with ravindraprakash sir words . Yes girish sir
Girish Mudigere: We need core volunteers now to work in teams…… Few minutes a day is adequate
Dr Sandeep Nayak: We can also work towards online training module in Kannada and English. And a certificate at the end. This will help. I can take this up if you have any people who can generate contents and syllabus.
Girish Mudigere: Awesome idea.Core volunteers should be general public……..but not teachers….
They should never touch money or material
MCE Yogish: Girish, we have to start allocating projects or volunteering work to our existing members of this group. Similar to tree planting project where we identified about 5 volunteers and planned to execute. Later few more joined and executed successfully. Similarly we have to give some task to local volunteers.
For example now Sunitha is doing excellent job by uploading the daily updates in to our website. Similarly we have to identify individual’s skill and start requesting them to proceed. There could be some hiccups in the beginning. At the end we will be able to execute any projects. Let’s start some new project (similar to tree planting) with existing volunteers and keep our volunteers motivated.
Tomorrow I have a plan to go to Bantwal and Puttur to meet Mr Rajesh Suvarna and Mr Rakesh. Anyone in Mangalore please join me if you can. I will leave at 9:00 AM from Surarhkal. Thank you !
Dr. Sandeep, I am with you for online training module. We requested earlier too in this group. So far we could not find volunteers. Khan Academy is one of the good source, but we need similar modules in all Indian languages.
Dr Sandeep Nayak: These are the chapters I think will help in training module
– Introduction to education
– what and Why public schools?
– How is public school governed in India?(ideally)
– Importance of community involvement
– Methods of community involvement in given governing architecture (I dunno if Girish would like to advocate any changes in system level)
– role of philanthropy locally and nationally.
– role of grassroot level movement and ways to organize it.
– Leadership development (or active citizenship development) in education
Please criticize! Let’s work on it.
Poornima: Sandeep ji, in 3rd chapter,pl replace it with Government Schools, ( Schools run by State Government,ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು)
Dr Sandeep Nayak: Yeah! You are right. 👍🏽🙏🏽
Girish Mudigere: Excellent points…lets discuss and start implementation
