Yogish: I have planned to visit my friend in Tumakur (who is exporting medicinal extract ) while coming to Bangalore to get second opinion to adopt Gajanan’s schools medicinal plant. I request teachers to be little more patient 🙏

Girish Mudigere: 👍😊🙏

Dr Sandeep Nayak: Nagesh Sir.

It’s true. However, let me share my experience which may be translated to education.

Sampaje is a small village between Madikeri (Kodagu) and Sullia (Dakshina Kannada).

We did a education program and motivated people to donate locally to repair Primary Health Center. State and Zilla Panchayath kept on tossin to each other and never granted money. Old building of 1960s was in verge of Collapse. We fundraised upto 2Lakh rupees locally and repaired the roof, constructed the mortuary (for autopsy) and much more. Money was not collected to our NGO. We encouraged donating it to Raksha Samithi, a small local body appointed by govt.

Today, that building is sustainable for another 15 years.

Local arrack shop’s daily turnover is 1Lakh rupees there.

Weekly temple/mosque/church collects more than 1L on an average.

Local weddings average cost is 3Lakh rupees.

Lessons we learnt?

– Local philanthropy is best.

– It will increase involvement locally. (Will explain you our success in immunization program later)

– Local philanthropy is sustainable.

– It’s partially not true that rural India has no money. It’s that we do not prioritize our money for bigger gain.

– Indian philanthropy is mainly based on religion and not on education/health/innovation/research.

MCE Yogish: Nagesh Sir, water report is ready. I am waiting for my friend’s to give a quote. Things will not work as per our expected speed. It may take few more days. Let’s see

Nagesh TK: One of my friend school near k r puram ,he got systems ,projector ,playthings, sweater and many more .he gave one excess projector to b r c , he proposed my school but that Doner said we can’t go far ,

Sure sir Yogish just I told my opinion sir

Girish Mudigere: Shortly lets transform government Schools

Nagesh TK: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yogish: I agree that local philanthropy is sustainable and donors too feel that it is their own project. Best example is Annasandrapalya School in HAL bangalore. Teacher of this school is very proactive to get the help from local donors. They just need a small push and our moral support.
