Guru Poornima: Supreme court verdict ..bandilla Alva??High court has given verdict in favour of regional language

Yogish: English is required for global communication. English as first or second language is must from LKG including in govt schools.

Guru Poornima: But supreme court decision is pending if I m not wrong

Linnet D Silva: If parents desire English as a medium court allows that. It doesn’t give any verdict on against regional language.

Yogish: Even within India we can’t communicate with neighboring states if we don’t know English

Dyavanoor Manjunath 2: ಉಪ್ಪಿನಂಗಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಜಿ. ತರಗತಿ ಆರಂಭ

Yogish: Good verdict from court saying that it is parents decision to go for English or kannada. Govt should not interfere about what we wanted to learn and in which language we learn/speak. Ultimately it is our freedom to choose the language that we want to learn. Freedom of language is as important as freedom of speech.

Linnet D Silva: All colonized countries have craze or need for English. We need to demand for free and compulsory QUALITY education. Language should not be barrier. Italy Germany Japan are so smaller than our states. Why we are after English as a medium.

Yogish: I am not against any regional or kannada language, but that should not become my growth hurdle.

Linnet D Silva: There they learn English also through local language.

MCE Yogish: Our software export is 100 billion and we are becoming world’s 3rd biggest economy. English is played major role for this to happen.

Linnet D Silva: I feel we should learn English just as a language.

Dadawalli: English language needs with regional language

Linnet D Silva: We need not struggle to learn maths science computer in English.

Yogish: Yes as language to communicate globally and it should start from LKG,not at 11th grade where village students can’t compete with city students without knowing any math and science words in English.

Linnet D Silva: That I agree.

Chaya Chandra Acharya: I know that my views r little harsh. I think it is only economically weaker section goes to govt school. My son studies in English medium, nowadays it is a need and must. World and India is progressing very fast. Even in govt school , teach English as a second language and teach talk in English is enough. U see the sea change in our govt school

Yogish: I oppose making our village kids English illiterate in the name of regional language.

Linnet D Silva: But don’t make schools English medium for this.

Chaya Chandra Acharya: I totally support yogish

Dadawalli: I too

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Linnet madam do not teach in English , but teach how to talk in English enough

Yogish: I too don’t agree that all the subjects should be taught in English. But we should teach English to village kids from LKG to make them very fluent and compete with city kids or compete globally

Linnet D Silva: The government school children in my neighborhood learn English in my house every Saturday. They are quite confident.

Yogish: Chaya madam said it correctly
