You need 25 generation to grow trees like this magnitude where huge car passes through it. Why do we want to cut such kind of thousand of trees just for 1 generation to make train route where this tree gave oxygen, good environment for 25 generation. This is injustice to the Mother Nature who served us 25+ generation

Prashanth Ananthady: Appreciate
Guru Poornima: This is amazing Sir
Girish Mudigere: Great example for us : Difference when we copy above model to other government schools…. We utilize Company resources
Girish Mudigere: Lets utilize public money through Government and copy every possible Government School
Naveed Ahmed: Yes..
Girish Mudigere: Lets help schools instead of individuals. Most kids in Anganavadis and primary schools…. dont have anything to eat before coming to schools
Yogish: Why Karnataka govt can’t improve the schools when it is possible to improve by individuals like Anchan
I don’t understand why govt is in hurry to close the schools?. Anchan set an example here that govt schools (which is about to close) can be improved and his school is now better than private schools. no need to close anymore govt school. Next time we should elect the govt who is supportive of govt schools.
Girish Mudigere: Yogish Sir….lets join hands with any government. We can make it…..: I am ready to beg any CM
Yogish: Girish, govt did nothing in this case. Prakash Anchan did everything by adopting the Bantwal school which is about to close. He converted the school in to English medium and appointed 7 teachers and then spent 1 crore to improve the building. Where is the govt contribution ?.
Girish Mudigere: They are humans with weakness like us. Every state government schools ars in danger
Lets not segregate on party. All political parties help government schools
Yogish: Very basic thing (for parents and students) is English medium and teaching standard by appointing more teachers to maintain 1:25 ratio. I think Anchan did exactly what parents are looking for to save the school. Govt is going against parents wish.
Rakesh Gowda: Such a nice person. Can i hav article about him..if anybodyy hav
Yogish: I am not in favor of any party. But we should elect our representative who is pro govt schools. Govt can do lot of things within their budget to improve the schools, especially when so many NGO’s and individuals helping.Only way to save govt schools is to adopt the same model that is used by Anchan. Can we do that ?.
Girish Mudigere:we adopted 125000 schools in Karnataka……lets work
Chaya Chandra Acharya: I think we have to plan a long term goal. I think to provide infrastructure to school through CSR, teachers through good B.Ed schools, and counselling the teachers may improve govt school
Yogish: Here are the steps that Anchan did:
1. Adopt the school which is about to close through club by signing the agreement with govt
2. All the club members enrolled their kids in to govt school who were going to private school. Started English medium teaching as per parents wish. Entire school is converted in to English medium starting from LKG to 8th grade – – very important and we too discussed about this
3. Appointed 7 teachers to improve the teaching standard to give care to individual students
4. Provided Free meal, reading books, stationaries, bus fee, school fee uniform etc through club to all the students
5. Spent 1 crore to build 13 rooms building for the school to accommodate all the students.
All these things he did through the help of club. We need to find such kind of club or NGO or individual who can adopt the school in this manner to save govt school
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: Wow good work Anchan
Girish Mudigere: Lets help schools Anganavadis primary schools….. Many kids dont have anything to eat before coming to schools
Jayalaxmi Gowda: I was talking to one person who is part of lion’s club,In Bangalore. We could approach them
Yogish: We need to follow these 4 steps. For that to happen we need to find NGO, CSR or individual donor.
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: That kind of revolution is needed to bring the change in the education and improve govt schools
Chaya Chandra Acharya: I think it is a time to move with a good plan. I will start noting the requirements of school and the learning standard of children
Girish Mudigere: I will find 2000+ donors by 2017 June
Guru Poornima: I will co ordinate with the concerned organizations: Jaya pl get the details of lions club Bangalore
Jayalaxmi Gowda: Sure will do Poornima
Yogish: Yes, we need the details of lions club who can help govt schools
Jayalaxmi Gowda: Not sure if they have helping govt schools in the radar. But they do help schools antha gothu
Guru Poornima: They help needy
Jayalaxmi Gowda: We need to discuss this with them and see what they can do
Guru Poornima: Let us approach
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: Yeah that’s what I heard from him
Yogish: Lions and Rotary are there everywhere. I am sure they will help
Rakesh Gowda: Great work done by anchan
Jayalaxmi Gowda: He was contacting me to get the donors in US to be part of sponsors
Guru Poornima: But few conditions apply : But we shall attempt : Our objectives are genuine and authentic alva
Yogish: Thank you Poornima and Jaya
Guru Poornima: Yogish even Anchan must have come across many hurdles which are obvious. Possibility is at higher end
Yogish: Girish have high ambitious plan to connect 2000+ NGO’s by 2017. We can make a proper plans to identify the require to of the schools and then request these NGO’s to adopt a school or to improve schools..Let’s list 10 schools first and find out their basic requirements as we discussed earlier. Then start working to improve these 10 school s by taking present 50 NGO’s help who are already working with us. Please let me know if you want me to list those 10 schools here ?
Yogish: 5 schools are already in mind who are already working with us.
Guru Poornima: Yeah.Let us go with the five schools
Linnet D Silva: Today met education commissioner and beo along with sdmc committee. Got assurance to fill one vacant teachers post in one government school. Got promise in writing. Must see when it will materialize.
Guru Poornima: Initially with their prior requirements
Girish Mudigere: 2979 closing schools could be our priority
Guru Poornima: Sure sir.Proper follow ups and updates are very much essential
Linnet D Silva: We need not focus on closing schools. We need to motivate school system. Can more system people be contacted.
Guru Poornima: Y are they closing onkyGovt schools ?.Only S its under govts control
But why? any specific reasons? There are many,we are working on that
GI RaviRaj: Cost of maintenance is high.As they think its dead capital on education
Guru Poornima: This is not the only reason
Linnet D Silva: I am a bit confused. Even rte has a bad practice of demanding 25 percent from private schools. By which many children are pulled from govt schools. This is also a bad practice.
Guru Poornima: Very true. There are limitations for RTE too
Linnet D Silva: This has to be rethought. Policy has to be changed. Hence discussion has to be raised at that level.
Naveen Sir: Here,
Not only Fst std stundts eligible under RTE, 5th, 8th,
Other than this residential schls run by govt, 6th,8th, 9th
Naveen Sir: Govt schools v/s RTE
Guru Poornima: But Mr.Anchan did not wait for any policy or RTE to b changed, let us get inspired by his work and proceed at least
Linnet D Silva: We are trying various ways to see change but a small drop in a ocean.
Yogish: 1. Nagesh Sir’s school
2. Gajanan Sir’s school
3. Linnet madam’s school
4. Chaya madam’s school
5. Harshiya madam’s school
6 Raviraj Sir’s school
7. Raghavendra sir’s school
Please list 3 more
Linnet D Silva: If we can influence the policy I am sure much good can happen I feel.
Poornima: Let us accumulate and hope for the best linnet.
Yogish: Girish, please add 3 more
Guru Poornima: Yogish Bangalore schools among those please? Chayas of course
Linnet D Silva: Public have a say in changing the policy for good. Simultaneously we should aim at policy change too.
Yogish: We have address of these school including phone numbers of teachers who are working with us.
Guru Poornima: Ok
Linnet D Silva: Sounds good.Siddeshwarnagar school in Dharwad can be included.
Yogish: We can approach all these schools in person once we finalize the list of first 10 schools.Sure
Girish too will be in Bangalore by the end of June to reach these schools.
Naveen Sir: What abt village side schls
Guru Poornima: Rural schools are in the list
Yogish: These schools are not in Bangalore except Chaya madam’s school
Yogish: Most of them are rural school
Girish Mudigere: Few above are from village end……We donot discriminate village, city, BJP, Cong, AAP, religion, Kannada in Karnataka, Tamil in TN, Telugu in Andra….etc etc….Boy or Girl equal for Government Schools
Linnet D Silva: True.
Guru Poornima: Sir but we can identify the schools which are underprivileged right?Comparatively I mean
Girish Mudigere: 2979 are in front of us too…..
Guru Poornima: U mean all these schools are underpriveleged equally
Girish Mudigere: We are ordinary people….lets try our best stop closing too
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: A suggestion from
My side… From Anchan story you see he and his club got involved basically he was able to convince his club members to enroll them to this school
Over private school: That is a major task here..We could get the funding et all but if people in that demography are not convinced to go to that’s school or if they don’t understand its value, it is going to be a waste effort
Guru Poornima: S Jaya it is a big deal …too
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: I feel we need to work
On schools where such demography exist and then go from there. Field work need to be done on that
Guru Poornima: We must make them understand.. That s the challenge here
Yogish: Anchan is able to convince because he assured them that teaching will be in English medium. Then he appointed 7 teachers too. These two are major things for parents to send their kids to govt school. Rest of the freebies are bonus for students and parents
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: Once we are able to get one or two schools like that then the others will have a model school and makes it easy to make them understand. Yogish again it depends on demography
What if that demography really doesn’t care for English school but just go to school for freebies
Guru Poornima: Proper survey, planning, and execution with effective guidance… Which is highly possible I personally feel, we will do that
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: Yes surveying Is a must
Yogish: That’s why we have to find NGO’s or CSR’s or clubs or individuals in any demography to start
It is possible if we can identify such kind of organization in any demography
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: I would say a demography to whom we are approachable is the best place to/
If most kids were going to private then the kids and parents standard were higher than of govt right to begin with
MCE Yogish: I feel Anchan’s model is the best for any demography. May be some minor modification is required as per the students and teachers wish
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: So anchsn’s approach would be that we can have a school with partial govt help and also lessen the burden of private school fees.Is what I feel. But the input to that school is basically a bunch of private school candidates
Chaya Chandra Acharya: As far as my knowledge goes most of the bank has to allocate funds CSR, huge money is trapped there. All nationalised banks r situated in rural area. Some bridging work has to be taken up
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: Basically
Yogish: Now govt allowing to rename the school to individuals or to NGO’s name if they are ready to adopt a school.
PKK Jayalaxmi Gowda: So parents would feel comfortable having their kids with same level
This need to.Be thought over.Anchan model woukd have had lot of strategic dialogues and actions
Yogish: I agree with Chaya madam. Bank in rural area is another resource.
Guru Poornima: NGO s have already adopted few schools by helping with Mid day meal
Let us not get compared with anchan s actions totally rather get inspired with positive aspects with our ground reality
Yogish: In fact ISKON is spending 60% for mid day meal. Remaining 40% is spending by govt
Sc Mallikarjun Natikar New my school art
Yogish: As per ISKON Rs 450 is enough to feed one child for the entire year.
Girish Mudigere: Mallikarjun sir….keep up
Yogish: NGO’s and CSR’s are already doing very good work for school. Still we are not able to stop the govt actions
Girish Mudigere: Chaya Ji….. Rightly indicated solutions….. BRIDGING. We can do it. Lets do it
