CET Coaching being given in Chandana DD for students

Anyone if needs, kindly inform

Time Morning 8 to 9am
Above seems useful for Karnataka Students

Yogish: My tickets are booked now. I will be reaching Bangalore on June 13 and returning on Aug 9.

Girish Mudigere: I mostly reach before June 10th. We meet in Bengaluru or Mangaluru

Krishna Prasad: If you are in mangaluru then let me know

Girish Mudigere: Planned to reduce persons leaving group, so tried three groups. It appears better to maintain two groups and focus more on respecting school kids and staff

Yogish: So far 15 schools requested water purifier and 9 schools requested total of 1175 students for notebooks

Girish Mudigere: Excellent response for our requests so far

4/8/16, 09:05 – Girish Mudigere: Nice knowledge on money and banking ….may be useful to few…..thanks

Lets try ideas to improve admissions to primary Government schools

Girish Mudigere: 1. Starting lkg ukg classes
2. Adding English from lkg? as one of the subjects?
3. Making lkg and ukg free? If not free in government schools
4. Giving very good food to lkg, ukg, 1st standard all kids?
5. Giving very good uniforms to all above kids
6. Government may not support all above….need to find alternate resources

Chandrakant Acharya: Anganvadi scheme is similar to kg!!! But the motivation level of workers is average!!! Probably if improved, would make a difference to kids learning!!!

7. Transform anganavadis like international school standards
8. Easier to transform anganavadis as government already provide base infrastructure
9. Identify Companies to support Lkg ukgs(Anganavadis)

Chandrakant Acharya: Here our focus is to be on improving anganvadi workers on priority

10. our focus is to be on improving anganvadi staff on priority

11. Connect anganavadi and primary school well

12. If kids upto first grade from lkg is provided with international environment …they will never leave if quality is continued slowly from 2nd standard onwards

13. Same color informs to lkg ukg and first standards….even 2nd standard onwards also may be already same till 10th

14. Good belts bearing primary school name may help lkg ukg and primary schools to get connected

15. Nursery and first standard classrooms should be made very attractive to startwith

16. Above if extended till PhD that would be ideal….should be extended at least up to 7th grade to prepare good citizens of tomorrow

17. Lets find sponsor companies to support Nursery till First standard

18. High quality volunteers are to be deployed to Above three classes

19. Lets try to copy above Udupi model

20. Lets list action points how Udupi achieved above

21. Kindly search and pass contact number, or email etc from above Udupi school to us

Anu D Jain:

I think u can contact the company who has note book manufacturing unit. Like ITC. Even in the register of ITC classmate it’s mentioned dat they contribute one rs. of each register they sell to the education of poor student.
On the other hand it ll help company to discharge Cooperate Social Responsibility.

Girish Mudigere: Above is a good idea….anyone has any contacts in ITC? Or similar book manufacturers?
Mr Hulikeri:

An IT field software ngo issuing notebooks to our school since last three year name IPLEDGE Bangalore

Anyone aware how many anganavadis in Karnataka?

RaviRaj: Its not updated sir

Girish Mudigere: 49000 government Schools ….almost same numbers
Thanks Mr Anand

Yogish: http://youtu.be/-sI2Q_d8bM4. My apologies if there is any mistake in my narration or if my voice is not good. This is just for demo purpose. I will create a math class soon.

Girish Mudigere: Mathematics is one of the easiest subjects…..We need two things to change.

1. Attitude to convince teaching staff
2. Teaching methodologies

100% sure positively we can change above two
Very good question which is in deep roots of our society

Lets try to address and resolve….thank you sir

Anyone any responses please?

Yogish: I still remember my teacher told me in 7th grade “ಬೀಜ ಗಣಿತ ಅಷ್ಟು ಸುಲಭವಲ್ಲ ” when I asked solution for one of the algebra problem. Instead of teaching and finding the solutions, teacher tried to avoid the questions.

RaviRaj: Yogish I learned mathematics up to tenth …it was easier ..but in my pu I started facing difficulty …trigonometry calculus…they intrigued me
Scored just passing marks in puc

RaviRaj: Am still interested to learn math as it improves reasoning

Yogish: Yes, I too had the same problem. Until 10th grade I found it easy. I had tough time in PUC to understand trigonometry and calculus, mainly because of switching from kannada to English medium.

Girish Mudigere: At least for small kids till 10th we all should see that negatives never cone near them….lets try positive solutions

RaviRaj: They have to learn in play way method

Dadawalli: Geeta teacher Lps Hondalgadde hosanagar taluk shivamoga district pincode 577477 please provide to my school note books, I have 31 students in my school

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Mathematics works instead of following known to unknown, if we follow unknown to known method, abstract to complex, biggest problem is teaching geometry theorems. Teacher needs lots of training in this area. Recently conducted science exhibition in Bangalore ,under teacher category had lot of idea to teach theorem. But we always should design a teaching materials which gives Max output when evaluate d. When ever I have adopted fun method, retention and linking is failed. Children enjoy that particular session, but when needs recalling they fail.

Chandrakant Acharya: If it can somehow be linked to everyday example, retention may improve!!! Origami helps

RaviRaj: So you say a lot of preparation before teaching any math class

Chaya Chandra Acharya: S too carefully designed adopting inductive, deductive method is required, teaching aids, videos etc, actually whatever the teaching time given to some of the lesson is unscientific. The problem is teacher will be thinking when the bell rings instead of why the bell rang. Initially it needs lot of time. Geometry in particular

RaviRaj: Origami is just folding paper to make different shapes….how to teach math using that chandrakanth?

Chandrakant Acharya: It helps in learning about symmetry, shapes volumes n what not!~!

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Origami is good to teach congruency, I tried but children showed interest in learning bhow to do end design and following nicely steps. It takes lot of u r time. But making them to connect to lesson is difficult. The strong lesson plan is required

Chandrakant Acharya: Ravi raj can you contact Sri sastry whose no. was given by naveen?? He would gladly conduct a workshop on that

Yogish: http://developschools.org/resource-center/math-practices
Can someone send the same math in kannada too. I mean the methodology to find answers to these math problems.

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Yogish I could see only quiz questions on above link, but I want materials to teach

Yogish: I will provide material or definition, explanation in English, but some one has to translate in to kannada too
Above example is in English, I am looking for kannada translation too so that I can add explanation or methodology in kannada too

Chaya Chandra Acharya: This type of methods make children to mug up. It is good. But it is easy to write 30+100 * 50 , instead of above. connect to real life.

Chaya Chandra Acharya: We need where, teacher have adopted various methods and one method works out. Different methods works out for different lesson, lot of scientific thinking is required

Girish Mudigere: Those who wish to receive less messages discussion ….we request to move to Develop Schools group.

Others please avoid any post or post only School related messages….thank you

Few of you….if also in Develop School group….may feel free to leave any one group ….Thanks
